Additional info

Since this is not allowing me to edit my test scores, I want to say that the test computers made me get a headache during the general gres. I will be retaking them december 14. I know I will do a lot better.

To offset my lack of research experience, I will be conducting an outside project with one of my professors in the spring in non-newtonian fluids. It should be very fun.

i guess i have a knack for those sorts of games with words. (i'm not good at all with crosswords or anything--just good with logic and have a decent vocabulary.) i used kaplan's 2008 premier program gre book.

but i began studying for the gre last fall, thinking i was going to take it then. so i began making a word list, and kept adding words to it on and off even after deciding i would take it later. that word list got to be around five pages and had words that included words i saw in op/eds online, gre study books, and even mars volta lyrics. i just would get words from everywhere possible.

and i really kicked ass with the shostak vocabulary stuff in high school, so that formed the basis of my sat/gre vocabulary. all the other stuff was just to make sure i wouldn't be taken by surprise by very many words.

i didn't know absolutely every word on my exam, but i did know enough of them to know which ones were and were not answers.
