Why did you choose "admitted program"? Could you please share with us all factors which leaded you to the final decision?
Yes I chose admission. I feel kind of dissapointed though. I worked so long and hard and then get rejected by all except one. Damn this dyslexia
What advice do you have for surviving the graduate admission progress?
Elaborate on your research in your SOP, do as many internships as you can.
If you were to do it over again, what would you do differently?
Rework SOP, do more internships and give a crap about GE. Dyslexia didn't help either :(

i guess i have a knack for those sorts of games with words. (i'm not good at all with crosswords or anything--just good with logic and have a decent vocabulary.) i used kaplan's 2008 premier program gre book.

but i began studying for the gre last fall, thinking i was going to take it then. so i began making a word list, and kept adding words to it on and off even after deciding i would take it later. that word list got to be around five pages and had words that included words i saw in op/eds online, gre study books, and even mars volta lyrics. i just would get words from everywhere possible.

and i really kicked ass with the shostak vocabulary stuff in high school, so that formed the basis of my sat/gre vocabulary. all the other stuff was just to make sure i wouldn't be taken by surprise by very many words.

i didn't know absolutely every word on my exam, but i did know enough of them to know which ones were and were not answers.
